
Ottawa Parliament’s East Block envelope rehabilitation Phase 1:
In August 2014, DFS & Architecture49, in joint venture, were awarded the contract to provide professional services for the complete rehabilitation of the exterior envelope of this building forming part of Ottawa’s Parliament, classified as National historic site. Phase 1 relates to the original 1867 wing, and work is to be completed in 2022. Project construction costs are estimated at 73 million dollars.

Halifax Armory, NS : rehabilitation of west façade
In November 2014, DFS was awarded the contract to provide professional services for the complete rehabilitation of the west façade of this National historic site, on North Park street in Halifax. The Halifax Armory was designed in 1895 by Chief Dominion Architect Thomas Muller, in the Romanesque renewal style, and completed in 1899. The west façade has suffered damages during the Halifax explosion of 1917. The rehabilitation work is estimated at 10 million dollars.
